Some examples of Chinese All in One Diesel Heaters
First of all these comes in two version.
2kw: 326mm / 12.8"
5kw: 376mm / 14.8"
So the 2 kW is a bit smaller and a replica of Webasto.
The 5 kW is a replica of Ebersprächer.
One problem with these chinese heaters are the sound of the fuel pump.. This is how to get a more silent pump.
"Does not become completely silent, but much quieter. Then as others have said pipe insulation and hang it freely." - Jocke S.
"I changed the pump and the new one is barely audible." - Bengt Åke L.
Also found some video saying it was bearly noticible, the difference that its.

Or like use a Silent enclosure, this picture is from Max Out Fun. He has swithch to a soft line, instead of the hard one. No more ticking?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rP3FOPqtINgI think He's using this fuel pump:
"When the pump is horizontal a big bubble forms on the 'top' of the piston resulting in metal-on-metal wear. This will cause the pump to fail or mis-dose. You want the pump to be filled with diesel, which provides the lubrication. The inner angles of the pump best allow the cavitation bubbles to 'escape' when placed at 15 - 30 degrees. Other than that, this is a brilliant setup!" - stevenh

Diesel pump in a plastic box, egg shaped insulation. All placed under the trailer.
------------------ ------------------
Intake side of fuel pump ok with softer fuel line
Delivery side (after fuel pipe): only use hard nylon tube
Put the fuel filter and fuel pump as close to the fuel tank as you can
Keep the suction height 500 mm or less and keep the delivery 1m or less.

Finding fuel lines that doesnt dry...
SAE J1527 / ISO 7840 approved fuel hoses for boats work well. The hose should preferably have a sticky / oily surface.
Best of all, however, are DIN73379-E3 hoses, Viton hose with Kevlar reinforcement. However, it costs 5 times more than a standard NBR hose
The white nylon harder one also seems good.

The best idea is to take the fuel line off of the bottom of the heater and put it into a clean container. Then prime the line until all the bubbles are out of the line and the fuel is coming out. The re attach the fuel line and press go" - Van Life Uk ------------------- Black smoke or White smoke ? ----------------------- White smoke is probably indicator that you are too lean, you are not running enough fuel and you have too much air coming in. Black smoke, flame running to rich, too much fuel, not enough air. --------------------- Remote control Battery: A27 (12V) ---------------------- "A27 are for the controller without display, it's a 12V battery. But the range on that one are crazy... I can sit outside my house, and start the heater in my basement" The red remote (with display) uses 2 AAA batteries but has worse range. |

Paraffin can damage the gaskets.---------------- Can you mount it on the side? -----
Yes they are design to run on side.
Just make sure the glow plug is top side.
It's important that the glowplug doesnt see more than 8V. It burns out pretty quickly if it sees more than 8volt for a longer time. Source: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BhNXlYpglDE

watch John McK 47 YouTube videos before installing

5 & 8 kW: 75mm inside diameter

------------------ This is not all in one but I like it the setup! -------------
"I used a 6 gallon portable boat tank from bass pro. And a 100ah lithium battery. After this pic I made the box smaller where the actual heater is as u can see in the first pic. Make sure you have a shut off switch to cut all power between heater and battery as they are known for the fan to mysteriously start on own and the display never shuts off killing the battery. This setup should allow the heater to run on low for at least 4 days without any additional power or fuel." - John Bonzey

You either get the "blue digit" LCD, or the "red digit" LCD.
The former cannot be tuned, the latter can. So I got the "red digit" LCD of course.
"You can replace the it to a red digit one" - R. Burn
"It has a long lasting display, sleeps when out of use, and offers a real time burner sensor temp read out. All controllers have a learning curve to suffer through, but this is one of the good ones." - T. Poustie
Green Led display often refered as three button controller. |
"The display lasts so well because it is not an LCD, but discrete LEDs directed to the front "screen" via a carefully crafted physical masking system." - R. Jones

The relay has a timer for how how many sec. the voltage can stay low before the relay operate. With the timer it is possible to start a vehicle without the relay shutting down the heater due to low voltage." - Steinar Solli"This is why i use this relay to only control the diesel pump as shown in the wire diagram. No risk of any damage on the heater. When the voltage drops below set voltage it stops the diesel pump and the heater has controlled stop with cool down sequence. It will give E04 but the fault will disapper next time you press start. If you want to test what happens, just disconnect the diesel pump connector when the heater is running." - Steinar Solli

"Drill a small hole at the top of the tank and fit it . I siliconed mine down and is good as gold."- J. Abe"I was not happy having a hole in the bottom of a 10 ltr tank of diesel, I had to cut it down to size to fit the tank."- T. Hanrahan"I drilled a hole in the side near the top and fitted it there. The ones that go through the bottom often leak making the tank scrap. However it does mean you can't fill to the top."- E. Baker

"Here a yellow 5 gallon diesel tank with the included fuel feed tube. Use a fuel resistant adhesive and screws to secure the tube plate on top of the tank. Be sure to prime the system before starting the dry unlubricated pump. This will prevent premature wear on the pump."- J. Diffenderfer
